If you are not familiar with the role our volunteers play in Junior Achievement, here is a link that provides an overview: http://jaheartland.org/volunteers/.  Volunteers from the business world help the students connect the JA curriculum to real-life experiences.  Typically, our volunteers commit to teaching 5-7 classes that are 30-45 minutes long.  They can work with the teachers to determine how often they want to have the class (normally 1 per week).  We provide you with all the classroom materials at no cost, and they include step-by-step instructions on how to teach each lesson.  Volunteers may work alone or in pairs.  First-time volunteers will complete a 1 hour training session before entering the classroom.  Want a sneak peek of what’s it like to be in the classroom as a JA Classroom Volunteer?  Watch this video.
