School History
Eisenhower Elementary School is located at 3170 Spring Valley Rd. on the rapidly growing west side of Dubuque, Iowa. Eisenhower was built in 1968 originally as a K-6 elementary school to serve 300 students and was named after former president, Dwight David Eisenhower. Helen Keller, a special education center, was opened adjacent to Eisenhower in 1983. The two schools merged into one in 1990. Eisenhower currently serves students in Preschool-5th grade.
